Social Life in Eureka
Eureka Springs is a Tourist Town with a resident population of less than 3000.
The surrounding area is inhabited by several more thousands who make up more business owners, professionals, employees, and self-employed.
There are also other nearby residential communities such as Holiday Island, Beaver Town, Gaskin, Berryville, etc.
It is amazing that such a small town as Eureka Springs can marshall up such spectacular events and festivals by which to entertain visitors and residents alike.
But, because it is a Tourist Town --- it can also be a bit pricey --- not just for Visitors, but, particularly for Residents.
Access to places in Eureka Springs that serve liquor is plentiful to choose from. However, with inflated prices and hefty alcohol taxes, residents wind up being faced with these high costs everyday of the year. This can curtail one's joie de vivre and sometimes cause searches for other means of entertainment and friendly participation.
Some of these activities are listed in the left column -- none of which is costly and each provides residents with a special benefit in meeting a bunch of nice people and they are able to enjoy great entertainment and educational activities while gaining unique social experiences.
